julesFM - What If....
Most success stories start at the beginning and end at the highlight.
julesFM - What If, starts where those stories usually stop.
Each week host Jules Mundy has open conversations with athletes, entrepreneurs, creatives and people who've built something real - about what it actually cost, what they almost didn't do, and what they know now that changed everything.
You won't get a formula. You'll get something better - the feeling that your own story is still becoming something.
What if nothing was wasted. What if the thing you almost didn't do is the thing that built you. What if it's not too late.
Until next time, what if.

This week's episode is a little different.
For the first time, I'm stepping out from behind the questions to share one of my own.
Over the past year, I've had the privilege of sitting with remarkable people from all walks of life. While every conversation has been unique, they've all left me with the same realisation: the most valuable things we pass on are often invisible.
The reflections shaped by a lifetime.
The perspectives only experience can bring.
The quiet generosity of sharing what life has taught us.
In this deeply personal episode, I share how losing my mum changed the way I think about legacy, why a simple daily ritual became the inspiration behind something I've quietly been creating, and how every guest on JulesFM has unknowingly helped me discover what I feel called to contribute next.
I'm not revealing everything just yet.
But I'd love to take you with me as the next chapter begins.
Because sometimes the question that changes your life isn't the one you ask someone else...
It's the one that finally finds you.

Sometimes the thing you're meant to contribute to the world finds you... not the other way around.
That's the thought that sticks with me the most after my conversation with Suzie Betts.
In this reflection, I explore why the problems we can't ignore, the questions we keep asking and the ideas that won't leave us alone might just be pointing us towards something much bigger.
More is possible than we think. It begins with one question: "What if?"

Finding an idea is one thing. Having the courage to keep believing and backing yourself is another.
In Part Two, Suzie Betts opens up about the realities of building Boob Protect, from funding challenges and learning on the fly to staying motivated when success doesn't arrive overnight.
She also shares the advice she wishes she'd known at the beginning, the fear she'd love to overcome, and why solving a genuine problem has always mattered more than building a business.
A conversation about courage, creativity and trusting the path, even when no one else can see where it's leading.
More is possible than we think. It begins with one question: "What if?"

What if one unexpected moment changed not only your life, but the lives of thousands of women?
In this episode, Jules sits down with Suzie Betts, founder of Boob Protect, to explore the personal journey that began with the discovery of a breast lump and led her to uncover an issue that had been hiding in plain sight. An issue that highlights a gap in protection for females in sport.
Together they discuss the surprising reality of breast injuries in active females, why awareness has lagged behind, and how one simple question became the catalyst for an innovation now helping women and girls around the world.
This isn't just a conversation about a product. It's about curiosity, challenging assumptions, and having the courage to ask, "What if there was a better way?"
More is possible than you think. It begins with one question: "What if?"

Vithyaa Thavapalan , Jules Thoughts
She still calls herself unemployed.
This is a woman who built the first fire investigation company of its kind in the world owned by a woman of colour. Who started a national community for South Asian women. Who's changed industry practice around domestic violence cases. And she calls herself unemployed, because nobody tells her what to do anymore. She controls her own time.
In this takeaway episode, I'm sharing three things from my conversation with Vithyaa that I'm not just reflecting on, but actually putting into practice myself: why rebellion doesn't have to be loud to be aligned, why a boundary doesn't need to be announced to be real, and why keeping a record of your own small wins might be the thing that quiets self-doubt when it gets loud.
Plus, the piece of advice from Vithyaa I keep coming back to, be brave and back yourself, because what if you can do it, what if it works, what if this is exactly what you're meant to be doing?

What if the community you needed didn't exist, so you built it yourself.
In this episode, Part 2 with Vithyaa, also known as Vee, we talk about The self-doubt she carried. The notes on her phone about every small win, every quiet achievement, that she reads back to herself when the doubt gets loud like it does for so many of us. The personal cost of choosing her own path. And the relationship in her life that she needed to change.
She also talks about Brown Boss Babes in more depth. the community she started from scratch for South Asian women doing extraordinary things that nobody in their world was supposed to see. Eight years in. Still learning. Still building. Still the proof that it's possible if you ask the question ‘what if…

What if your parents, your family and everyone around you told you that what you wanted to do with your life was never going to work, that it went against everything your culture expected of you. And what if you did it anyway.
Vithyaa Thavapalan asked herself exactly that question, took that step and became the first woman of colour in the world to start her own fire investigation company. And then she went further. She paved the way for other South Asian women in Australia to grow in their own fields and built a community so they'd never have to do it alone.
This is her story.

What does it actually mean to be happy and are we even chasing the right thing?
This episode is my personal reflection on my conversation with Dr Tim Sharp aka Dr Happy, clinical psychologist, founder of the Happiness Institute, and one of Australia's leading positive psychology experts.
I share my three biggest takeaways from our chat, the ideas that really resonated with me, challenged me, and honestly left me with some questions I'm still thinking about.
From reframing what happiness actually is, recognising the strengths we've been taught to discount, to the practice of self compassion that Tim calls the real foundation of wellbeing. This episode is my attempt to make sense of what I heard and what it means for everyday life.
Including one question I keep coming back to: what if you stopped waiting to feel worthy?
Topics covered: positive psychology, happiness, self compassion, character strengths, mental wellbeing, flourishing, Dr Tim Sharp, Dr Happy, Happiness Institute, nature therapy, Lost and Found, anxiety, thriving, julesFM, What if

What if the season that broke you was always the one building you?
This is me thinking out loud after two conversations with Airleigh Frigo - Australian aerial skier, Olympian, and one of the most honest and self-aware people I've spoken to on this show.
For me, there were a number of things that really stood out and that I have continued thinking about. The image of Airleigh standing at the top of a ramp in Finland, physically shaking, telling herself - you either go or you go home. The idea that a bad performance is not a reflection of who you are or your lead up. And the season she described as the season for her soul - four months of injury that changed everything, not despite the stopping but because of it.
This isn't a recap. It's a reflection. On what Airleigh's story is making me look at in my own life and what it might make you look at in yours.
If you haven't heard Parts 1 and 2 yet they're worth it. She's something else.
Until next time, what if we can.

What does success look like when the scoreboard stops being enough?
In Part 2, Airleigh Frigo gets to the heart of what changed everything - not a podium finish, but four months of injury and rehab that quietly shifted her entire perspective. It was there, sidelined and still, that she discovered mental wellbeing, started looking after herself differently, and began thinking about who she wanted to be in twenty years. She went back to competition and had the best season of her career. She called it the season for her soul.
Jules and Airleigh talk about the costs nobody sees from the outside - financial, physical, emotional. About learning that being deeply emotional isn't a weakness but an attribute, and what it took to stop letting her feelings run the show. About building trust in yourself through honest self-reflection. And about what comes next when the sport that defined you for a decade becomes something you step back from - with curiosity rather than fear.
Airleigh's mum told her early: if you don't ask, you don't get. This conversation is about everything she asked of herself, and what she found when she finally listened.
